Terry, We can expect another two months of snow, actually. I don't mind, because it's about like what I grew up with in Vermont. We spent the late afternoon out on a frozen lake (a smaller one, not the one in the picture which is Vättern, Sweden's second largest lake). I wish I'd had the camera.
Steve, I wish I could say that the field is ours. It's directly in front of us, but it is rented from the town by a quasi-farmer who does practically nothing with it. We are forced to crowd our yard with gardens, or have them in the small orchard we rent (can one rent an orchard?) where we have no way of watering. Anything sensitive to drought has to be down here at the house. Ergh. I've been trying to convince the "farmer" to let us take over the lease, but he seems to measure his worth in acreage, even when he isn't using the land. It is very frustrating.

Well, this picture answers my question of whether or not things are warming up over there :-D My sympathies at the cold weather Jeanne.
I'm soaking my sweet peas to plant this weekend. It is spring here.
What is that water in the distance?
